At Hyundai New Zealand we are committed to putting the health and wellbeing of our customers, our dealerships and our staff first. While we are at COVID-19 Alert Level 4 we have put several steps in place to ensure everyone stays safe and supported.

We will keep this page updated with any new information we have relating to the virus and the impact on our staff, dealerships and customers.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

While we are at COVID-19 Alert Level 4, our 24/7 Roadside Assistance service will still be operating as an essential service. If you require Roadside Assistance, please call us on 0800 HYUNDAI (498 632).

Hyundai Finance support package

We understand that COVID-19 is causing significant disruption to people and businesses. We want to work closely with our Hyundai Finance customers to manage any financial impacts by getting a plan in place as soon as possible. 

Finance Support

Vehicle parts & servicing for essential service providers

During the Alert Level 4 period, Hyundai New Zealand and our dealers are able to support our customers who are essential service providers with vehicle parts & servicing requirements. If you require assistance during this period, please call us on 0800 HYUNDAI (498 632).

Warranty and Service extensions

Hyundai New Zealand will be extending new vehicle warranties and service intervals to eligible customers affected by the lockdown. As a New Zealand owned company, this is part of our commitment to providing a first class ownership experience.

As a result of the Government’s announcement regarding a Level 4 nationwide closure on non-essential services, our Dealerships will be closed as of Thursday 26 March for a minimum of four weeks or until the lockdown is lifted.

Dealership staff will still be available to talk to you about your vehicle requirements.

During this time they will be unable to complete vehicle servicing unless you are an essential service provider. Please call us on 0800 HYUNDAI (498 632) if you’d like to speak to your local dealership.

Hyundai New Zealand Head Office

The office is closed as of Thursday 26 March for four weeks and during this time the Hyundai New Zealand team will be working from home.

Our Hyundai Ambassador Team are still available via email at or via the phone on 0800 HYUNDAI (498 632). Their working hours are:

  • Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 7:30 pm
  • Saturday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
